I’ve always loved to write. But crafting copy to grow a business and mission is a unique form that I’ve been practicing since 2013. I stared by writing e-newsletters for a public health department, then worked at nutritional health and wellness center advocating for nutrition intervention for diabetes and chronic disease prevention.
My first nonprofit work formally began in 2016 with a focus on digital fundraising and online engagement. I am a member of the Nonprofit Technology Network and the American Writers & Artists Institute and love continuing to learn and grow in the realm of digital fundraising and copywriting. I’ve written copy for organizations of all sizes, including aquariums, animal welfare organizations, hospitals and healthcare systems, foodbanks, disease-specific organizations, and equity-advocacy organizations.
My educational background is health and equity focused. I have a Bachelor’s in Medical Anthropology and Global Health from the University of Washington in Seattle, and a Master’s in Public Health through the University of New England. I graduated with honors and wrote my capstone on health literacy.
Another educational experience that continues to inspire me to this day is my experience on Semester at Sea. Then through the University of Virginia, this study abroad experience takes students around the world and builds coursework around field excursions. My most highlighted moments include visiting a maternity ward in Tema, Ghana and watching a cremation ceremony along the Ganges River in Varanasi, India.

I do! My approach to retainers is a certain number of deliverables per month/time-frame for a set fee. Typically, we would work on a few projects together first, and then sign a contract for a retainer.

What I love about working with cause-driven organizations and people passionate about change is their creativity. If you have a project that you need help with, I’d love to talk and see if we’d be a good fit to work together.
